Life is a journey, not a destination ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Isaiah 1

This past week reading through the first chapter in Isaiah for BSF has been a great start.  I have been reminded to examine myself, my heart, and my motives for why I do the things I do, especially in regards to aspects of ministry, but really for all areas of life.  Do I recognize who God is?  and what He has and is doing for me?  Then what kind of response am I giving from my realizations?

All week I have been reminded of another verse that seems very much inline with this chapter.  II Chronicles 7:14.  if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

I love this song by Michael Card.

I’m reading Isaiah right now… wish I would have done the BSF study… found out today my neighbor is there on Tuesday mornings too.
Glad you’re enjoying it and passing along some great insights!
